Fabini Varios [1920s-1950s]

Description: This envelope contains information on the musician Eduardo Fabini. He was a musician and composer born in Uruguay in 1882. He became one of the main representatives of the nationalist movement in music specializing in the rural traditions of the River Plate region. He devoted himself to the study of the native rhythms, and the local folklore. Fabini won international fame when German Richard Wagner directed the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. He died in 1950 leaving a powerful artistic legacy. The envelope also mistakenly contains an item on another Eduardo Fabini, former owner of newspapers such as La Razón, El Siglo and El Telégrafo. The envelope contains photographs, newspapers’ and magazines’ clippings and articles, engravings, one autographed musical score, and typewritten original documents. Extent of original: Envelope.
