Siemel Sashz Explorador Norteamericano [1920s-1930s]

Description: This adventurer, hunter, and explorer was born in Latvia in 1890, moved to the US when he was 17, and, after two years, moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He, then, travelled to the Matto Grosso in Brazil where he was trained by a native to kill jaguars. Afterwards he became famous and worked as an actor and gave lectures around the world on his many experiences. He died in 1970. This envelope deals, in particular, with his adventures killing jaguars in Brazil. For more information, see his own account of this experience, Tigrero!, (New York: Prentice-Hall, 1953).
