This inscription is found on the rocky surface on the bank of the Nārttāmalai tank called Aṇimata-ēri. This inscription refers to the erection of the sluice by Tamiḻatiraiyaṉ alias Mallaṉ Viḍamaṉ. On the palaeographical ground, it could be dated to the 8th century CE.
