This inscription is found on the pillar of the sluice of the tank called Pichchikuḍi Periykuḷam located in the Uḍaiyāḷippaṭṭi village. This sluice was erected by the Vaḷacikkuḍi Maturāntaka Muttaraiyaṉ. On the palaeographical ground, it could be dated to 10th century CE.
