ສົມພະມິດຊາດົກ. ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ, ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າປະທັບຢູ່ວັດເຊຕະວັນ ເມືອງສາວັດຖີ ໄດ້ເທສະໜາເລື່ອງພະເທວະທັດ. ໃນກາລະຄັ້ງໜຶ່ງ, ມີກະສັດອົງໜຶ່ງຊື່ວ່າ ສົມພາມິດ ໄດ້ປົກຄອງເມືອງໃຫຍ່ຊື່ເມືອງຈຳປາ. ພະອົງມີພະມະເຫສີ ນາມວ່າ ພະນາງແກ້ວເກດສະນີ ສີວໍຣະກັນຍາເທວີ ແລະມີພະໂອລົດສອງພະອົງ ຊື່ວ່າ ເຈົ້າໄຊຍະເສນກຸມມານ ແລະເຈົ້າໄຊຍະທັດກຸມມານ. ພະອົງມີນ້ອງຊາຍຜູ້ໜຶ່ງຊື່ວ່າ ອະສົມພະມິດ. ວັນໜຶ່ງ, ເຈົ້າອະສົມພະມິດ ໄດ້ວາງແຜນທີ່ຈະລອບປົງພະຊົນພະເຈົ້າສົມພະມິດ ເພື່ອຍາດເອົາພະລາຊະບັນລັງ. ໂຊກດີມີອໍາມາດຜູ້ສັດຊື່ຄົນຫນຶ່ງໄດ້ແຈ້ງໃຫ້ພະອົງຊາບ. ຫຼັງຈາກນັ້ນ, ພະເຈົ້າສົມພະມິດພ້ອມກັບມະເຫສີແລະພະໂອລົດທັງສອງອົງຫນີອອກຈາກພະນະຄອນ ເດີນທາງເຂົ້າໄປໃນປ່າ ໄດ້ປະສົບກັບອັນຕະລາຍ ແລະໄດ້ຮັບຄວາມທຸກທໍລະມານ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໓໘ ໜ້າ ໑: ຈຸນລະສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ໑໒໘໒ ຕົວ ປີກົດສັນ ເດືອນ ໑໐ ແຮມ ໑໑ ຄໍ່າ ວັນ ໕ ກົດສະງ້າ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມສອງທຸມ ໝາຍມີ ມະຫາຣາຊະຄູໂພທິປັນຍາ ວັດສັກກະດິນທະ(ຣິນທະ)ຄູຫາ ສ້າງຍັງທໍາມະ ສົມພະມິດ ຜູກນີ້ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະໂຄຕະມະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າເຖິງ ໕ ພັນປີ. ຂໍຜົນນີ້ນໍາຂ້າພົ້ນຈາກສົງສານຕັດບ່ວງເບັນຈະມານຂາດໄດ້ ຈົ່ງຮູ້ພະນິບພານດັ່ງຄໍາໝາຍແດ່. ເສດສ່ວນບຸນສົ່ງໃຫ້ສັດທັງພົບ ໓ ແມ້ດູຍັງຈະຕ້ອງວຽນວົນເກີດຢູ່ໃນສາກົນໂລກນີ້ ຂໍສິ່ງສຸກຈົ່ງດົນຢູ່ທຸກເມື່ອ ຊື່ວ່າ ທຸກລິບລີ່ ເວັນລາງຮ່າງໄກ ອະຫັງ ມະຣະນະ ກາເຣ ອະມູນລະໂຫ ສີຣະທານັງ ນິບພານັງ.
Somphamit Jataka. On one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi giving a sermon about the story of Devadatta Thera. Once upon a time, a king named Somphamit ruled a great city called Champa. He had his queen named Kaeoketsani Sivorakanna Devi and two sons named Sayasena and Sayadatta. The king also had a younger brother, Asomphamit. One day, Asomphamit planned to assassinate King Somphamit for the royal throne. Fortunately, one loyal pasha informed the king. Then the king along with his queen and two sons escaped from his kingdom. They traveled into a forest where they were in danger and getting suffering. Colophon: Folio 38 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1282, a kot san year, on the eleventh day of the waning moon of the tenth lunar month, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), a kot sanga day, the writing was accomplished at the time of late evening, 20.00 o’clock. Maha Rasakhu Phothipannya from Vat Sakkarinthakhuha sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Somphanit to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the results of this merit be a condition for Nirvana and cut the five obstructions off and reach Nirvana as my wishes. Apart of this merit dedicated to all creatures in the three worlds. Even if I am trevelling in this world, may I am happy all time. May suffering be away from me. Ahaṃ marana kāre amullaho siradanaṃ nibbanaṃ.
