Sabbasiddhi Jataka. Once upon a time, a king named Vijayaraja reigned in Alika kingdom. His queen named Upala. At the time, the Bodhisatta was born as the royal son named Sabbasiddhi. After his birth, the king asked his priests to prophesy. They believed that, the royal son would be a person of skill, of art subjects, with great wisdom and sharp intelligence and would have many tricks. The king heart that he was very pleased. When the Bodhisatta was seven years old, the father sent him to study theology with Master Disapamokkha in Taxila. After having finished, he returned to the city. Later, he married Princess Suvanasobha, the daughter of King Usabharaja of Kiribhaja. When the Bodhisatta's father passed away, the Bodhisatta ascended the throne and performed almsgiving and observance of the precepts regularly until the end of his life, and then he was born in Tusita heaven. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa 1607 (corresponding with CS 1167), a hap pao year, on a tao san day. The younger sister of the king sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] 50 Sāt (Fifty former existences of the Buddha), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nirvana, certainly.
