ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າປະທັບຢູ່ວັດເຊຕະວັນ ເມືອງສາວັດຖີ ຊົງສະແດງພະທໍາມະເທດສະໜາ ເລື່ອງ ອານິສົງການສ້າງພະທາດຊາຍບູຊາພະຣັດຕະນະໄຕ. ໃນເມືອງສາວັດຖີຍັງມີອຸບາສົກຄົນໜຶ່ງຊື່ວ່າ ມຸຣິກະ ເປັນຄົນທຸກໄຮ້ເຂັນໃຈ ວັນໜຶ່ງ ມຸຣິກະໄດ້ລົງໄປໃນແມ່ນໍ້າເພື່ອຈະອາບນໍ້າກໍ່ໄດ້ເຫັນເມັດຊາຍອັນງາມ ຈຶ່ງນໍາເມັດຊາຍກັບມາກໍ່ເປັນເຈດີຊາຍໃກ້ໆເຮືອນຂອງຕົນ ຫຼັງຈາກນັ້ນກໍ່ເອົາດອກໄມ້ ຄັນທະລົດຂອງຫອມທັງຫຼາຍມາປະດັບທາດຊາຍນັ້ນ ແລ້ວຂາບໄຫວ້ສັກກາລະບູຊາພະຣັດຕະນະໄຕ ພ້ອມກັບຕັ້ງຄວາມປາດຖະໜາວ່າ “ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າເກີດມາໃນພາວະຊາດໃດໆ ຂໍຢ່າໄດ້ເກີດເປັນຄົນທຸກໄຮ້ເຂັນໃຈດ້ວຍເທີ້ນ”. ເມື່ອມຸຣິກະໄດ້ຈຸຕິຕາຍໄປກໍ່ໄດ້ໄປເກີດຢູ່ເທິງສະຫວັນເປັນຫົວໜ້າເທວະດາທັງຫລາຍທັງ ໖ ຊັ້ນຟ້າ ຕັ້ງແຕ່ຊັ້ນຈະຕຸມມະຫາຣາຊິກາຈົນເຖິງປະຣະນິມມິຕະວະສະວັດດີ ຄັນຈຸຕິຈາກສະຫວັນຊັ້ນຟ້າກໍ່ໄດ້ລົງມາເກີດໃນເມືອງມະນຸດ ໄດ້ເປັນເຈົ້າເປັນໃຫຍ່ແກ່ຄົນທັງຫລາຍ ປະກອບດ້ວຍເສນາ ໔ ຈໍາພວກແວດລ້ອມອ້ອມເປັນບໍລິວານ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໗ ໜ້າ ໑: ຈຸນລະສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ໑໒໘໗ ຕົວ ປີຮັບເປົ້າ ເດືອນ ໑໒ ວັນ ໒ ຍາມກອງແລງ ຣິດຈະນາ ໝາຍມີ ຈານອຸ່ນເຮືອນ ຜົວເມຍມີໃຈໃສສັດທາ ຈິ່ງພ້ອມກັນສ້າງຍັງ ສອງພະຊາຍ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາປາດຖະໜາຊູ່ອັນຊູ່ເຍື່ອງກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ. ຂໍ້ ໑ ຂໍໃຫ້ໄດ້ເຖິງສຸກ ໗ ປະການມີນີຣະພານເປັນທີ່ແລ້ວກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ.
On one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi, the Buddha preached a sermon to his followers on the rewards derived from the making of sand stupas to worship the Triple Gem. There was a poor man named Murika in the town of Savatthi. One day, Murika went down to the river to bathe and saw a beautiful grain of sand. He brought the sand back home and made sand stupas near his house. Then he brought flowers and incense to embellish the stupas and worship the Triple Gem. When Murika died, he was reborn in heaven as the head of all the angels in the 6 levels of heaven, from the level of Cātumahārājika to Paranimmitavasavatti. After the heaven, he was born in the human world and became a king of all people and surrounding with four groups of ministers. Colophon: Folio 7 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1287, a hap pao year, on the second day of the week (Monday), the twelfth lunar month, [the writing was accomplished] at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Chan Unhüan and his wife jointly sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Sòng Phasāi (Rewards derived from the making of sand stupas), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all our desires and wishes come true. On the other hand, may we reach the three states of happiness with Nirvana as the ultimate goal.
