The content explains the verse of Mangala Sutta, “Majjhapana ca saññamo, Abstinence from intoxicants is the highest blessing. In general, intoxicant means liquor. But here it means all types of intoxicants, whether liquid or dry, as well as all types of addiction. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: The initiator, Chao Phunyai Nama Sena and his wife and children had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Mangkhalathip (Mangaladipani), to support the Teachings of the Buddha.
