ສອງຫໍກອງ ໝາຍເຖິງ ອານິສົງທີ່ໄດ້ຮັບຈາກການສ້າງຫໍກອງໃຫ້ວັດ. ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າປະທັບຢູ່ທີ່ວັດເຊຕະວັນ ເມືອງສາວັດຖີ ພະພຸດທະອົງຊົງສະແດງພະທໍາມະເທດສະໜາ ເລື່ອງ ຜາລະອານິສົງຂອງການສ້າງຫໍກອງ ຖວາຍໃຫ້ເປັນທານວ່າ ອັນວ່າ ບຸກຄະລະຍິງ ຊາຍ ຜູ້ໃດມີຈິດໃຈເຫຼື້ອມໃສສັດທາ ໄດ້ສ້າງຍັງຫໍກອງ ຕີບູຊາແກ້ວທັງ ໓ ຄືວ່າ ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ, ພະທໍາມະເຈົ້າ ແລະພະສັງຄະເຈົ້າ ຖວາຍໃຫ້ເປັນທານໃນສາສະໜາຕະຖາຄົດ ຈະມີຜະລະອານິສົງສະ ເຕຊະອານຸພາບຫລາຍ ຈະມີອາຍຸຍືນຍາວແລະປາສະຈາກໂລກໄພໄຂ້ເຈັບທັງຫລາຍທັງປວງ ເປັນຕົ້ນ.

Sòng hòkòng means the merit gained by making the drum tower and donated it to the monastery. On one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling in the Jetavana monastery of Savatthi preached a sermon on the making the drum tower and donated it to the monastery. The Buddha said, any women or men who have the religious faith made the drum tower and the drum for the monastery in order to beat for worshipping the Triple Gem including the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha will gain the merit with power and longivity and secure from all diseases.
