The story of Buddhaghosa was a 5th-century Indian Theravada Buddhist commentator, translator and philosopher. He dedicated his life for Buddhism by working on the compose of many Buddhist scriptures in Mahavihara, the Great monastery in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. His work which is well-known is Vusuddhimagga which has collected the teachings about the Dhamma practice for the liberation of suffering. His interpretation of Buddhist teachings is the dominant concept in today's Theravada sect. Both scholars and Theravada Buddhists acknowledge him as the most important commentator in Theravada sect.
