Single fascicle of Nu Kham (The story of a golden rat). The content tells in the Buddha’s time, while the Buddha was dwelling a Visura cave in Kosambi city, the Buddha mentioned about a poverty man whom he helped and became much prosperity. Then the Buddha told a story of his previous life. Once the Bodhisatta was born as a golden rat and caught by a hunter. Later, a poor couple bought the rat from the hunter and looked after it in their house. Then the rat gave them many belongings and they became rich with wealth. Colophon: Folio 24 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat (CS) 1293, a huang mot year, a moeng mot day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Phia Ariyalatsi, Thit In and his wife sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Tamnan Nukham, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
