The content tells there was an elder who was an arahant and knowledgible in the Dhamma and Vinaya. The elder gave a sermon to the two brother kings and taught them to follow Dasavidha-rajadhamma (the tenfold virtue of the ruler) and to act correctly according to the letters and the consonants. There are 41 letters and consonants divided into 8 letters and 33 consonants. Colophon: Folio 12 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa 2 thousand and 71 (corresponding with CS 1271), a kot set year, the twelfth day of the waning moon of the ninth lunar month, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), [the writing was accomplished] at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). The initiator, Nai Na (Mr. Na) and his wife sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Hòm Akkharatam to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be for us to reach Nibbāna. My gift is pure for Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss.
