The content tells that after seven days of the Buddha's passing away, there appeared an old monk named Subhadda who accused the disciplines and showed sign of joy by saying that you do not cry, the Lord Buddha passed away to Nirvana, it's good because when he lived there were rules and regulations, now we are free from obligations. At that time, Venerable Mahakassapa was staying at the city of Pava, when he heard the news from the monks that Subhadda said so, he realized that the Buddha had passaed away only seven days, there was a monk criticizing the discipline in the midst of the monks. In the future, there will be more. For this reason, Venerable Mahakassapa made dicision to hold the first Buddhist Council.
