Óbitos de Forros e Livres, 1727-1728 e Casamentos de Escravos e Livres, 1734-1754

This volume contains burial records of freed (forro) and free individuals as well as marriages of enslaved and free individuals registered in the Church of São João Batista (Baptista) de Icaraí (Carahy, Carii, Carahi), dating from 12 (?) 1727 through 09 May 1754. The volume lacks an opening or closing charter. Marriage records date from 8 Mar 1734 through 9 May 1754; burial records begin on folio 123 and cover the period between 12 (?) 1727 and 03 Jul 1728. Several freed black indivduals (pretos forros) appear as witnesses to marriages. The volume also documents the burial of Portuguese individuals. The volume documents pastoral visits on 27 Oct 1742 by D.os Mr.a, on 27 Aug 1747 by Vicar Gavião, and one on 27 Jun 1754. The volume includes testaments.
