The manuscript is a magnificent copy of music Irmologion or a collection of irmoses which are the initial troparions of the odes of a canon arranged according to 8 echos. Texts of irmoses had a musical notation by "kryuki" or special musical markings in the form of superlinear signs used in Greek and Russian church before the appearance of five kines notation in the second half of the 17th century. Old Believers kept the notation with "kryuki". This manuscript has a rich illumination with initials and headpieces drawn in the style of Vyg by colours and gold. Many illuminations have special protection curtains made of thin paper. The scribe of the illumination and, perhaps, the text was an aged nun Claudia Alexeevna Goldobina in 1911-1913 as one can find out a note: "The name of the servant of God who wrote the book is Claudia Alexeevna. This book was finished to write in 7421, June 21" (f. 217). Later the manuscript belonged to M. I. Zalessky who left a note about the scribe of the book on f. 220v. The manuscript is brought from the village Chertovizy, Kargopol region, Arkhangelsk district.
Рукопись представляет собой роскошный список нотного Ирмология - сборника ирмосов (начальных песнопений канонов), расположенных по 8 гласам.Тексты ирмосов имеют крюковую нотацию. Крюки - специальные нотные обозначения в виде надстрочных знаков, использовавшиеся в греческой и русской церкви до появления пятилинейной нотации во второй половине 17 века. Старообрядцы сохранили крюковую нотацию. Рукопись богата украшена заставками и инициалами, написанными в выговском стиле красками и золотом; они имеют защитные завесы из микалетной бумаги. Украшения (вероятно, и текст) были выполнены старицей Клавдией Алексеевной Голдобиной в 1911-1913 годах, о чем свидетельствует запись: "Рабы Божией имя писавшей Клавдия Алексеевна. Кончена писать сия книга 7421 года месяца июня 21" (л. 217). Позднее рукопись принадлежала М.И. Залесскому, который оставил запись о создательнице книги на л. 220 об. Рукопись происходит из деревни Чертовицы Каргопольского района.

Condition of original material: The manuscript is in a good condition. The colours of illuminations leave the prints on the opposite sheet so they are protected by special curtains made of thin paper.
Custodial history: The manuscript was bought from M.I. Zalessky during the archeographical expedition to the Old believers in Archangelsk district in 1967.
