The old believers manuscript with music notation includes singings for Psalter kathismas in 8 echos, exercises for singing by means of hooks and comments for them. All music frases are written with hook notation. There are special tables with an explanation of hooks meanings in the collection. Two pictures with music "mountain" and "key for meaning" and several prayers are included into the manuscript. The manuscript was written by Ivan Ivanovich Krehalev from village Usachevskaia.
Музыкальная старообрядческая рукопись cодержит распевы для кафизм Псалтыри на 8 гласов и упражнения для обучения пению по крюкам с комментариями и пояснениями. Музыкальные фразы записаны крюковой нотацией. В сборник переписаны таблицы, раскрывающие значение крюковых знаков. В список включены два изображения "горки" и "ключей разумения", а также несколько текстов молитв. Рукопись была написана Иваном Ивановичем Крехалевым из деревни Усачевка.
Extent: 1 volume containing 42 folios. A part of the folios are not sewed in but are put in a book block only.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 22,3 cm, width 18 cm, depth 0,8 cm.
Condition of original material: The manuscript has not binding. The first folio is torn. Some folios have small tearings and soils. A sew of the block is damaged.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1965.
