Collection of festal homilias contains sermons on different days of church calendar circle. Reading the writings of famous authors substituted the preaching by priests or abbots in Eastern Orthodox church. This manuscript of the 16th century is a fragment of great codex. It keeps the writings of John Chrysostom on the 3rd week of Lent.

Торжественник - сборник учительных произведений на определенные дни церковного календаря. Чтение Торжественника в восточной православной церкви часто заменяло живую проповедь. Данная рукопись XVI века представляет собой отрывок, в котором сохранились поучения Иоанна Златоуста на дни 3-ей недели Великого поста.

Extent: 10 separated folios.

Size and dimensions of original material: Height 18,2 cm, width 13,5 cm.

Condition of original material: The binding is absent; folios are separated. The beginning and the end of the manuscript is lost.

Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1980.
