Arrive at 8.15. They get to Santiago by 10.30. There is horse racing and in the afternoon the [visiting] Saint (unnamed) and the local Saints are taken out in procession and to the edge of the community. Trudi talks to an Alferez (ex Presidente) who has been to visit the Guadalupana: story about how one of that party bought a tamale only to find a human finger inside. On the 26th, she comments that they spent the night on benches and tables. The horse racing continued and then everyone was given 'guineos' (bananas?)and most people left.
