The first two trained nurses in South Lushai Hills [c 1924-c 1925]

Pi Lalsiami (left) and (?), two nurses at the Serkawn dispensary which was set up by the Baptist Missionary Society. EAP454 has also digitized the earliest patient records of the dispensary (Digital file folder: EAP454_CHS), which themselves were in the process of being created when this photograph itself was taken, c1924 – c1925. These approximate dates are according to historian Pu Hminga's best estimate. Photograph possibly taken by the earliest Baptist Missionary Society missionaries to South Lushai Hills, J. H. Lorrain (Pu Buanga) and F. W. Savidge (Sap Upa).

One photograph, measuring 160mm by 105mm.
