Reverend C. L. Hminga's Collection of Ecclesiastical Records and Early Photographs [1914-1940]

This collection is centred on South Lushai Hills and Serkawn--regions typically underrepresented in Mizoram's historiography. Particularly strong on ecclesiastical themes, the collection contains rare photographs of the earliest Lushai evangelists, pastors, nurses, and printers, as well as two missionary records, and four rare books on Christian history in Mizoram. The material spans from 1914 to 1940, though it is weighted towards the earlier years of this range. The collection of photographs was likely created by the earliest Baptist Missionary Society missionaries to Serkawm. Its focus, though, is on local Mizo leaders and professionals rather than on the missionaries themselves.

Seven photographs, two single-page records, and four manuscripts.
