Published after Simón Bolívar's departure from Peru, The 'Cotorra' stands out as one of the few satirical newspapers with active involvement from a woman. Although anonymous and hidden under the pseudonym "La Cotorra", this woman appears not only to contribute occasional writings but also to make decisions regarding the type of content featured in the publication. Issue No. 4 includes a brief reflection on the state of the Peruvian War of Independence, along with a personal critique of a well-known businessman in Lima society.
Publicado tras la retirada de Simón Bolivar del Perú, "La Cotorra" es uno de los pocos periódicos satíricos en los que participa activamente una mujer. Aunque anónima, oculta bajo el pseudónimo de La Cotorra, esta mujer no solo parece redactar ocasionalmente, sino que incluso toma decisiones sobre el tipo de contenido publicado en el periódico. El número 4, además, incluye una breve reflexión sobre la condición de la guerra de independencia peruana y una crítica personal a un empresario conocido en la sociedad limeña.
