Desde su segundo número, impreso justo un día antes de la Batalla de Arica, expresa un ferviente nacionalismo y un fuerte entusiasmo por la victoria, un tono que se mantiene constante en los números posteriores, a pesar de las crecientes dificultades del conflicto.
