The text tells about the merit derived from the making of the manuscript called 8 Muen (Eighty thousand) and listening to the preaching of the Tipitaka by monks on various occasions. The good results will support the persons possessing heavenly status with becoming Indra living in Tavatimsa heaven for eighty thousand heavenly years. After the heaven, they will come to the earth and become emperors ruling kingdoms and are respected by people. Colophon: Folio 19 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa 178 (corresponding with CS 1178), a hap hao year, on the sixth day of the waxing moon of the seventh lunar month, a tao set day, the first day of the week (Sunday), a kat hao day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Pa (aunt) Khamduang and all her relatives jointly sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Vohān 8 Mün (Eighty thousand in phrase) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana.
