The text mentions about Dukkha vedana (painful feelings) which means suffering such as suffering due to formations including suffering due to birth, age, sickness and death. The sufferings happen according to patticca samuppada12 (the twelffold conditioned arisings). Colophon: Folio 25 on the verso side: Sangkat one hundred 608 (corresponding with CS 1168), a hwai nyi year, on the full moon day of the tenth lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), a kot nyi day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Mòm (Monk) Chanthapannya together with Mae òk (lay mother) Fong and her husband from Chom Ngua village jointly had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled 8 Mün (Eighty thousand) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana. May all our wishes come true.
