In the Buddha’s time, there was a poor man lived in Savatthi. He earned with selling wood for fire. One day which was the Uposatha day, the man entered into the forest and met a monk who was practicing meditation. The man questioned the monk, What purpose is your living in the forest? I am living in the forest for observing the precepts and practicing meditation. Hearing that the man was faithful in the monk. He built a pavilion and a pond and donated them to the monk. Thereafter, he returned home and brought water and food to the monk. Due to the results of the merit, after the death, the man was born in the heaven with the heavenly property, and he was surrouned by angels as his servants.
