On one occasion, the Buddha was present at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi and gave a sermon to his disciples, speaking about his perfection pratice in the past. Once upon a time, the Bodhisattva was born as King Suruparat ruled the kingdom Inthapat. His queen named Sunthadevi and his son named Suntha Kumara. One time, he wanted to listen to a sermon, so he let his ministers go out to announce that, if anyone can give a sermon for the king, the king will give 1,000 kahapana. The ministers travelled to small and large villages for 7 years, 7 months and 7 days, but no one was able to preach. Later, Indra transformed into a giant and said that he could preach. But with the condition of asking to eat the king's queen as food. So, the king gave his queen to the giant. The giant took the queen to hide and came back saying that he is not enough yet, he has not preached yet, so please eat his son. The king also gave his son to the giant again. The giant then showed himself that he was Indra and then he preached the Dhamma to the king.
