ນິທານທໍາມະບົດ ເລື່ອງ ນາງລູກສຸກອນ (ໝູ). ວັນໜຶ່ງ ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າສະເດັດໄປບິນທະບາດໃນເມືອງຣາຊະຄຶ ທອດພະເນດເຫັນລູກໝູໂຕໜຶ່ງ ຈຶ່ງໄດ້ຊົງຍິ້ມພະໂອດ ເມື່ອພະອານົນເຖລະທູນຖາມເຖິງສາເຫດແຫ່ງການຍິ້ມນັ້ນ ພະພຸດທະອົງຈຶ່ງຕັດວ່າ “ດູກ່ອນອານົນ ນາງໝູນ້ອຍໂຕນີ້ເຄີຍເກີດເປັນແມ່ໄກ່ ຢູ່ໃກ້ໂຮງສັນແຫ່ງໜຶ່ງ ໃນສາສະໜາຂອງກະກຸສັນທະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ. ແມ່ໄກ່ໄດ້ຟັງສຽງປະກາດທໍາຂອງພິກຂຸອົງໜຶ່ງ ກໍາລັງສາທະຍາຍວິປັດສະນາກໍ່າມັດຖານ. ເມື່ອຈຸຕິຈາກອັດຕະພາບນັ້ນແລ້ວ ໄດ້ເກີດໃນຣາຊະຕະກູນເປັນທິດາພະນາມວ່າ ອຸບພະຣີ. ໃນເວລາຕໍ່ມາ ພະນາງສະເດັດໄປຍັງສະຖານທີ່ຖ່າຍອຸດຈາລະເຫັນໝູ່ໜອນແລ້ວ ຍັງຄວາມສໍາຄັນຮູ້ໃນສົບມີແຕ່ໜອນໃຫ້ເກີດຂຶ້ນ ກໍ່ໄດ້ບັນລຸປະຖົມມະຊານ. ຈຸຕິຈາກອັດຕະພາບນັ້ນແລ້ວ ໄປເກີດໃນພົມມະໂລກ ຄັນຈຸຕິຈາກພົມມະໂລກ ພະນາງສັບສົນຢູ່ດ້ວຍອໍານາດຄະຕິ ຈຶ່ງເກີດເປັນສຸກອນໃນບັດນີ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ່ ໒໖ ໜ້າ ໒: ສັກກະ ໖໘ (ກົງກັບ ຈສ. ໑໑໖໘) ປີ ຮວາຍຍີ່. ສົມເດັດພະເປັນເຈົ້າ ສ້າງ ທໍາມະປັດທະ ໄວ້ກັບໂຊຕະກະສາສະໜາພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ.
The Dhammapada story of a Young Sow. On day, while the Buddha was on an alms-round at Rajagaha, he saw a young dirty sow and smiled. When asked by the Venerable Ananda, the Buddha replied, "Ananda, this young sow was a hen during the time of Kakusandha Buddha. As she was then staying near a refectory in a monastery she used to hear the recitation of the sacred text and the discourses on the Vipassana kammatthana. When she died she was reborn as a princess named Ubbari. Later on, while going to the latrine, the princess noticed the maggots and she became mindful of the loathsomeness of the body. She attained the first absorption. When she died she was reborn in the Brahma realm. But later due to some evil kamma, she was reborn as a sow. Colophon: Folio 26 on the verso side: Sangkat 68 (corresponding with CS 1168), a hwai nyi year. The royal king sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Dhammapada to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
