Kangkhavitarani is a book help to cross over the doubtfulness is the commentary on the Patimokkha in the Vinaya composed by Buddhaghosa in Sri Lanka. This manuscript was inscribed by Pha Maha Aramathipatti from Vat Ton Luang Hua Sao in Lanna in 1797. The text was written in the Nisaya style tells the training rules chich are called Nissaggiya pācittiya (rules entailing forfeiture and confession). The punishment came from the infringement of the precepts which are light penalties that are called ‘Nissaggiya pācittiya offences’. Examples of the penalties such as: keeping an extra robe for more than ten days, stay far away from the robes, keeping the cloth for making the robes for more than one month, asked a bhikkhuni to wash his robes. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Cuthasakaphatha (Culasakkarat) 1159, a moeng sai year, the twelfth day of the waxing moon of the twelfth lunar month, the second day of the week (Monday), a kat rao day. [The writing of this manuscript] was accomplished at the time of the kòng ngai (between 7.30-9.00 o'clock), the second day of the week (Monday), a moeng sai day. Maha Aramathipatti or Phutthavatsang Bhikkhu from Vat Ton Luang Hua Sao made this manuscript to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years definitely.
