This sub-series contains Bible Lessons published by the Seventh-day Adventist Church between 1905 and 1950, in pre-reform Russian (before the 1917-1918 spelling reform), as well as in Ukrainian, Polish, and Romanian. Each set consists of 13 lessons designed for daily Bible study at home and in church over one quarter of the year. The lessons are either focused on a detailed study of a specific book of the Bible or are thematic, exploring particular biblical doctrines. In the Russian Empire, Bible Lessons were first published in the magazine "Maslina" from 1905 to 1907. From 1908 to 1913, they appeared quarterly as supplements to "Maslina." Between 1913 and 1920, they were published as supplements to the magazine "Blagaia Vest" (Good News). From 1921 to 1928, Bible Lessons were issued as a separate periodical. Although the official publication of Bible Lessons in the USSR was banned from 1929 to 1989, SDA Church members and clergy continued the tradition by hand-copying and typing the lessons. In regions outside the USSR until 1945, and in countries of the Russian diaspora, the publication of Bible Lessons persisted under various titles, such as "Weekly Readings," "Bible Talks," "Bible Readings," "Bible Teachings," or "Sabbath School Lessons." Studying Bible Lessons remains a core part of Sabbath services in the Adventist Church worldwide.
Біблійні уроки. Під-колекція складається з «Біблійних уроків» виданих Церквою Адвентистів Сьомого дня в період з 1905 по 1950 рр., російською національною мовою (до реформи орфографії та зміні правил правопису 1917 – 1917), російською мовою, українською мовою, польською мовою, румунською мовою. «Біблійні уроки» – це збірка, що складається з 13 уроків як посібник для щоденного вивчення Біблії вдома та в церкві протягом одного річного кварталу. За змістом вони можуть бути як «текстові», коли докладно вивчається якась конкретна книга Біблії, і «тематичні» – вивчення тієї чи іншої біблійної доктрини. На території Російської Імперії "Біблійні уроки" друкувалися на сторінках журналу "Масліна" з 1905 по 1907 рік. Потім збірник видавався кожні три місяці як додаток до журналу «Масліна» з 1908 по 1913 рр., потім як додаток до журналу «Благая Весть» з 1913 по 1920 рік. З 1921 по 1928 збірник видавався окремим посібником. З 1929 по 1989 рік офіційне видання біблійних уроків у СРСР було заборонено, незважаючи на це, священнослужителі та члени Церкви АСД продовжували зберігати традицію вивчення біблійних уроків, переписуючи їх від руки та друкуючи їх на друкарських машинках. На територіях, які не входили до СРСР до 1945 року, а також зарубіжних країнах, видання біблійних уроків тривало. Залежно від країни та періоду видання, біблійні уроки могли називатися по-іншому, наприклад, «Тижневі читання», «Біблійні бесіди», «Біблійні читання», «Біблійні повчання», «Уроки суботньої школи». Вивчення біблійних уроків є невід'ємною частиною кожного суботнього богослужіння в Адвентистській церкві в усьому світі.
Custodial history: The sub-series was collected among members of the SDA Church of Ukraine from 1993 to 2021 by Oleh Arutyunov It was transferred to the Adventist archive-museum in Bucha in parts from 1996 to 2024.
