The manuscript contains the Life of Andrew of Constantinople, sermons for Easter Week, Traveller of Jerusalem [Путник Иерусалимский] or Pilgrimage by Daniel the Traveler [Хождение игумена Даниила] – a revised version of the oldest work of the Russian pilgrim literature The Life and Pilgrimage of Abbot Daniel from the Land of Rus [Житие и хождение игумена Даниила из Русской земли] (12th century ), made in the late 18th century- early 19th century, and essay The Apology for Surcease of Sorrow of a Human who is in Trouble, Persecution and Bitterness [Апология во утоление печали человека сущего в беде, гонении и озлоблении] of a Russian church writer and a hierarch, Saint Dimitry of Rostov (1651-1708). The manuscript was acquired by the community of Old believers-pilgrims living in the Tomsk-Chulym taiga. The manuscript has traces of old restoration: the binding was replaced, and folios were glued.
