The manuscript is in good condition; the leaves n°44 and n°1 and 2 are partly broken. Size of the manuscript 18,0cm x 3,0cm. The palm leaves of the text 1 are numbered in Tamil and Arab from 1 to 44 and of the text 2 from 1 to 26. There are blank leaves placed at the beginning and at the end of the text. The manuscript is in good condition. The leaf n°44 is partly damaged and some scripts of the first eight leaves of the second text are missing or damaged caused by mould. Text 1: The text, entitled Varma Cūṭcam, is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 44. The recto of the leaf n°1 is written in Malayalam. The text describes the location of vital spots in the body (varmaṅkaḷ): tilartta varmam, nēr varmam, tivaḷai varmam and uṟumi varmam; naṭcattira kālam, cevikkuṟṟi kālam, mūttira kālam and kalliṭai kālam; valiya atti curukki and ciṟiya atti curukki. It mentions the fatal signs of injuries at vital spots (acāttiya kuṟikuṇam), as well as the method to relax (aṭaṅkal) injuries in pregnant women and children. It provides the formulation of a medicated oil called Muṟiveṇṇey and a decoction for healing fractures. Text 2: The text, entitled Varma Maruntu Ceimuṟaikaḷ, is formed by palm leaves numbered from 1 to 26. The text provides some formulas to treat injured vital spots (varmam), among them decoctions: Komparakku kaṣāyam, Iḷanīr kaṣāyam and Kuṟuntoṭṭi kaṣāyam; medicated oils: Kuṟuntoṭṭi eṇṇey, Tirumēṉi eṇṇey and Ciṟṟāmuṭṭi eṇṇey; medicated ghī: Caṅku paṭāti ney and Kaṇṭaṅkāri ney; and a dry plant powder (poṭi) not named.
