This volume contains letters written by the Governor of Sierra Leone between 21 September 1855 and 19 January 1857. The despatches in the volume include information on the date and place of writing, the number of the despatch, and the signature of the sender. Some pages consist of a schedule of despatches sent on a specific date and provide information on the number of the despatch, its date, the subject and on the number of enclosures. The volume is bound in red cloth boards. There is damage from iron gall, and traces of water damage. Some pages are torn.
