Argentina Asilos y Hospitale.s Regionales Comisión Asesora [1930s-40s]

Description: In 1906, the Comisión Asesora de Asilos y Hospitales Regionales (Consultant Commission of Asylums and Regional Hospitals) was created to provide the Argentine interior of assistance in specialized establishments. As there was no budget, the Commission depended from the Foreign Ministry in order to count with the necessary monetary resources. The health system during the Infamous Decade (1930-1943) was an unplanned model that, after the military coup of 1943, the military in power, and, in 1946 onwards, President Juan Domingo Perón transformed into “a centrally planned state system” with “decentralized execution.” See, Peter Ross, The Construction of the Public Health Extent and format of original material: This folder has as subtitles the following subjetcs: Hospital Conference in Mendoza (1943)-Reorganisation-Comments, Commission of Asylums and Regional Hospitals.
