This palm-leaf manuscripts contains a work agreement between immuTi kanhaka raama kavuNTar and different service castes (carpenter, potter, dobby, scavengers and others) in the village; an agreement between azakak kuRavanh, pazinjci[?] of paaRaippaTTi village and cuppakkuRavanh of manjcampaTTi village for ear piercing work; an agreement between immuTi kanhaka raamaiya kavuNTar and pirava nallu naakkanh, nallu naakkanh of nalluur village, azakak kavuNTanh of veLLiyangkunhRam and others regarding the village headman (naaTTaamai) post. It also contains a few small strips of paper documents which are found in between the palmleaves written by the document owner describing briefly the topic of the palmleaves.
Physical characteristics/Extent and format of original material: Palmyra leaf (borassus flabellifer); varying sizes; height 4cm, width 57cm to height 4cm, width 32cm; sideline perforation; a few palm-leaves were broken. 13 handwritten palm-leaf documents (14 palm-leaves).
