Sandor Malena [1930s-1960s]

Description: Malena Sandor was an Argentine writer, journalist and translator who opposed the conventions of writing in the theatre. She wrote plays and dramas such as Burla Escarlata, Los dioses vuelven, Y la respuesta fue dada, Tu vida y la mía, and Penélope ya no teje--a musical comedy. Her first play opened in the 1930s. She left Argentina and returned in 1955 after the coup d'état against President Juan Domingo Perón. This envelopes contains photographs, newspapers’ and magazines’ clippings and articles, one booklet with her play Yo soy la más fuerte autographed to the Haynes Company's executive León Bouhé, and one invitation. It is important to note that many of the articles were written by her for various publications, some of them belonging to the Haynes Company such as El Hogar. Extent of original: Envelope.
