Fantasio [1930s-1960s]

Description: This handmade envelope contains photographs, newspapers’ and magazines’ articles and clippings, and original drawings of Fantasio. His real name was Juan Gálvez Elorza. He started to draw caricatures and comics in his native Chile where he was born in 1910. Since 1933, he lived in Argentina where he worked for different newspapers and magazines such as Pregón, Leoplán, Maribel, Chabela, Rico Tipo, and the Haynes Company’s publications: the newspaper El Mundo and the magazine Mundo Argentino. In the latter he became famous with his character Tancredo. Extent of original: Handmade envelope . Condition of original: Regular condition.
