Hogar Saavedra [1930s-1940s]

Description: This handmade envelope contains one photo and three newspapers’ and magazines’ articles and clippings that inform us about the Hogar Saavedra created by the Sociedad de San José (or Saint Joseph Society) that was, at the same time, founded in 1874 by Petrona Coronel de Lamar, a Catholic lady engaged in different charity organisations that, as in the case of this Hogar, survived her and are still in existence. This home and school gave asylum to children and widows with children. It was founded in 1932. Extent of original: Handmade envelope . Condition of original: Regular to bad condition.
