This sluice inscription is issued during 7th regnal year of the Chōḻā king Uttama Chōḻa. It states that this sluice was constructed by Vēṅkaṭa-p-pēraiyaṉ of Nallūr in Kiḻāraṟṟu -kūṟṟam, on behalf of his son Sēmalāṉ.
