A brief history of the “Union of Ukrainian Women” society is included (fols. 20–23 verso); a second copy (fols. 24–27 rev.); and a duplicate (fols. 16–19 rev.). Letters, announcements, questionnaires, and resolutions from international women’s organizations to the “Union of Ukrainian Women” concern their activities, the status of women (fols. 71–72), political and civil rights of women, economic issues, and other materials. Information was received from the International Woman Suffrage Alliance (note: correct English name), (fols. 28, 29, 34); from the International Alliance of Women for Suffrage and Equal Citizenship (fols. 42, 44–45, 46–47); and from the Disarmament Committee of the Women’s International Organisations (fol. 56). Notices, invitations, and information regarding the organization and holding of international women’s congresses (Budapest, October 1934 – fols. 66–67; copy: fols. 68–69); and conferences (Geneva, 31 May 1928 – fols. 48–49).

Condition of original material: The documents in the file are not arranged in chronological order. The title page of the file is undated. Manuscript. The text is written in pencil (grey) and in blue and black ink. The pages are printed typographically. Printed forms are filled in using a typewriter. Typescript. Corrections, underlining, additions, and signatures are made in grey pencil, as well as in blue, red, and black ink. Pages are reinforced with white paper on the left side; some are reinforced horizontally in the middle, at the top, or at the bottom of the sheet. The pages are stained with yellow marks, with additional stains of violet and red ink.
