A personal diary of the late Christopher M. Lapkini containing information on the demolition of two Church Missionary Society historic buildings in Lokoja by Miss Ritsert was queried by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the then General-Governor of Nigeria. Early Christians converts who were trained to read and write Nupe in Bida as well as Evangelism was also given accounts of. In the early 1930's two missionaries, Miss C. Matthews and Miss K.E Rityserts were posted to Lokoja-Bassa church to open a maternity clinic.
