This folder contains information on Mount Patti which served as a refuge site for the early inhabitants of Lokoja. Mount Patti also harbors mineral resources such as; coal, iron, ore gold and spring water. It also contains information on Frederick Lugard's rest house which was used for relaxation and to spy on the movement of merchant and slave ships. This folder highlights the first prison in Northern Nigeria built by Colonel Lugard but was later split into two; one in Okene, the other in Enugu. It was also cited Lugard built the first military hospital in the Northern Nigeria which comprises of two main wards; the Europeans and Africans.
