ພະຍາອິນຖາມບັນຫາ

ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງ ຫລັງຈາກທີ່ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າ ຊົງຕັດສະຮູ້ພະອະນຸດຕະຣະສໍາມາສໍາໂພທິຍານລ່ວງໄດ້ ໒໐ ພະວັດສາແລ້ວ ໃນກາລະຄັ້ງໜ່ຶງ ພະຍາອິນໄດ້ລົງມາເຂົ້າເຝົ້າພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າເຖິງທີ່ປະທັບແລ້ວກາບທູນຖາມວ່າ “ຂ້າແດ່ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າຜູ້ຈະເລີນ ອັນວ່າມະນຸດແລະເທວະດາຝູງໃດກໍ່ດີທີ່ມີຈິດໃຈເຫຼື້ອມໃສສັດທາ ໄດ້ໃຫ້ທານ, ຮັກສາສີນ, ຟັງທໍາ, ບໍາເພັນເມດຕາແລະພາວະນາ. ເມື່ອສັບພັນຍູເຈົ້າຍັງທົ່ວລະມານກໍ່ດີ ເມື່ອສັບພັນຍູເຈົ້ານີຣະພານໄປແລ້ວກໍ່ດີ ຍັງຈະມີຜະລະອານິສົງຄືກັນບໍ່ກໍ່ຂ້າຈາ?” ຈາກນັ້ນ ພະພຸດທະອົງກໍ່ຊົງສະແດງພະທໍາມະເທດສະໜາໃຫ້ແກ່ພະຍາອິນໄດ້ສະດັບຮັບຟັງຢ່າງລະອຽດແລະແຈ່ມແຈ້ງ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: (໑) ລານທີ ໒໕ ໜ້າ ໒: ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມທ່ຽງວັນ ຜູ້ຂ້າຂະໜານສຸກຂະປັນຍາເປັນຜູ້ຣິດຈະນາໃຫ້ ຂໍໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາປາດຖະໜາ ຂໍສ່ວນບຸນນໍາຫລາຍໆແດ່ກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ. (໒) ລານທີ ໒໖ ໜ້າ ໑: ຈຸນລະສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ໑໒໘໑ ຕົວ ປີກົດສັນ ເດືອນ ໘ ຂຶ້ນ ໘ ຄໍ່າ ວັນ ໗ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມທ່ຽງກາງວັນ ໝາຍມີ ເຈົ້າໝ່ອມພໍ່ເຫລັກເປັນເຄົ້າກັບທັງບຸດຕະນັດຕາພັນທຸວົງສາພໍ່ແມ່ພີ່ນ້ອງຊູ່ຄົນ ມີໃຈເຫລື້ອມໃສເປັນອັນຍິ່ງ ຈິ່ງໄດ້ພ້ອມກັນສ້າງໜັງສື ຕໍານານພະຍາອິນຖາມບັນຫາ ຜູກນີ້ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະໂຄຕະມະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕໐໐໐ ພະວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາປາດຖະໜາຜູ້ຂ້ານີ້ທຸກປະການ ຂໍຢ່າມີມານມາປະຈົນແກ່ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າສູ່ພະນີພານກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ນິບພານະ ປັດຈະໂຍ ໂຫຕຸ ເມ ທຸວັງ ນິດຈັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ.

The content mentions that, 20 years after the enlightenment of the Buddha, once, Indra came down to the presence of the Buddha and asked, "My Lord, human beings and devas who have the religious faith in the gift of alms, the observance of the precepts, the listening to the Dhamma and meditation during the Buddha’s time or after the passing away of the Buddha, would they gain the same results or not?” Then the Buddha gave a sermon to Indra who listened carefully and clearly. Colophons: (1) Folio 25 on the recto side: The writing was accomplished at the time of thiang van (between 10.30–12.00 o’clock). I am Khanan Sukkhapannya is the scribe. May I share much merit, definitely. (2) Folio 26 on the recto side: Chulasangkatrasa (CS) 1281, a kot san year, on the eighth day of the waxing moon of the eighth lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), the writing was accomplished at the time of thiang kang van (between 10.30–12.00 o’clock). The initiator, Chao Mòm Phò Lek and all his children, grandchildren, relatives and siblings had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Tamnān Phanya In Thām Banhā (the questions of Indra) to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all my desires and wishes come true. May I be free from any obstructions until enter into Nirvana. May this be a condition for me to reach Nirvana, constantly and certainly, the greatest bliss.
