The text tells about the performance of the perfections of each Buddha. For example, Gotama Buddha was named as Pannadika performed the perfections for 20 asangkheyya and one hundred thousand eternities. The last existence, the Bodhisatta was born as King Vessantara and thereafter reborn in the heaven of Tusita. Devas, Indra and Brahma jointly invited the Bodhisatta to be born in the world. The Bodhisatta came into the womb of Sri Mahamaya Devi, the queen of King Suddhodana. When he was born, he had a given name as Siddhartha Kumara. When he was 16 years old, King Suddhodana organized a special marriage ceremony for him with Princess Yasodara or Bimba. They had a son named Rahula. Later on, Prince Siddhartha renounced his wealth, left the kingdom for ascetic and spent 6 years for the practice to attain enlightenment and become a Buddha. Colophon: Folio 20 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa 110 and 2 (corresponding with CS 1202), a kot chai year, on the fifth day of the waxing moon of the second lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), a huang hao day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Phò Kanya and his wife had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Nyòttaiyaphidok (Peak of the Pitaka) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May two of us, husband and wife achieve all our desires and wishes. On the other hand, may we reach the three states of happiness with Nirvana as the ultimate goal. May this be a condition for Nirvana.
