Once upon a time, there were two millionaires named Rattana Setthi who was a crystal smith and Rajata Setthi who was a silver smith. They lived in Panchala Nakhon. Later, Rajata Setthi’s son married Rattana Setthi’s daughter. Thus, they were connected. When the two millionaires died, the couple possessed a lot of property. They regularly distributed their property to others. After death, the millionaire was born in the underworld as the son of the Naga King, Somphuchit (Jambūcita). His given name was Supunna Naga. The wife was born in Panchala Nakhon. Her given name was Punna. Colophon: Folio 38 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2485, a tao sanga year, on the first day of the waxing moon of the ninth lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The initiator, Ratsapannya sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Supunnanāk (Supunna Naga) to dedicate to Xiang Vandi who died to the other world. May the results of this merit support him and move to a good place, and also to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May my desires and wishes come true. May I remember every existence. May I be a disciple of Ariya Metteyya Buddha and obtain Arahantship.
