While Chanthakhat was bathing at a river, he saw a woman floating and rescued her. Later, her status was informed that she was Princess Phommachari, the daughter of King Anurut of Anurat kingdom. She was castaway by her husband, King Suthassana, due to he had a queen. Then Chanthakhat took Princess Phommachari back to his father. King Anurut offered Chanthakhat a castle as a return. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1294, a tao san year, on the sixth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), a huang khai day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The initiator, Rattanapannya sponsored the making of this manuscript entitled Lam Chanthakhāt (Story of Chanthakhat for preaching) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the results of this merit be a condition for Nirvana and cut the five obstructions off and reach Nirvana as my wishes.
