In the time of Pussa Buddha, the Bodhisattva was born as the royal son of King Ummatirat and Queen Ummaladevi of Ummalita kingdom, named Badiya Kumara. When he grew up, Badiya Kumara gave alms, observed the precepts, listened to the Dharma and offered the bed clothes to the monks. Later on, he took the throne and became the king instead of his father, named Badiyacakka. After the death, he was reborn in the heaven with heavenly properties and surrounded by fairies.
