Salakarivisasut or Salakaravisasut is a powerful sutta for getting rid of all diseases and dangers. On one occasion the Buddha was residing at the Gijjhakuta hill in Rajagaha. At that time, the Venerable Ananda was afflicted with a disease, was suffering and greavely ill. The Buddha visited the Venerable Ananda and told him to learn the verse of Salakarivisasut, memorise it and recite it in mind often. It will be useful for you. All diseases and dangers will be suppressed by the power of this Salakarivisasut. Other Buddhas in the past continuingly preached this verse of Salakarivisasut in order to be useful and happy for all bhikkhus, bhukkhunis, lay men and lay women. Chao (Princess) Khamphui had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Salakarivisasut (Salākarivijā Sutta) to prolong the age of the Dhamma and the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
