When Kalinga city had drought, the people were lacking water and food. The people were sick and trouble. When they asked the king for help, the king could not make rain for them. The king then sent eight Brahmins to Videharaja city for asking the auspicious elephant from King Sivijaya. It would rain surely. When the elephant went away from Videharaja city, the people of the city got angry and banished Prince Sivijaya from the city.
