ມັດທີ ເປັນກັນທີ່ ໙ ໃນຈໍານວນ ໑໓ ກັນ ໃນເຫວດສັນຕະຣະຊາດົກ ມີ ໙໐ ຄາຖາ. ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງ ພະນາງມັດທີ ເມື່ອອອກໄປປ່າຫາໝາກໄມ້ ໄດ້ເກີດແປກປະຫຼາດຄືໝາກໄມ້ບໍ່ມີໃຫ້ເກັບຫຼາຍເໝືອນເມື່ອກ່ອນ ອາກາດກໍ່ມືດມົວ ຕອນຂາກັບກໍ່ມີຣາຊະສີ ເສືອເຫຼືອງ ແລະເສືອໂຄ່ງ ຊຶ່ງເປັນເທວະດາແປງມາຂວາງທາງໄວ້ອີກ ເມື່ອມາເຖິງອາສົມກໍ່ບໍ່ເຫັນສອງກຸມມານ ຈຶ່ງອອກຕາມຫາສອງກຸມມານຈົນເດິກດື່ນ ເມື່ອບໍ່ພົບ ກໍ່ກັບມາເຖິງອາສົມແລ້ວຖາມພະເວດສັນດອນ ກັບຖືກຕໍ່ວ່າອີກ ຈຶ່ງເສຍພະໄທຈົນເປັນລົມສະຫຼົບໄປ ພະເວດສັນດອນກໍ່ຊົງປະຖົມພະຍາບານຈົນພະນາງຟື້ນແລ້ວຕັດເລົ່າຄວາມຈິງໃຫ້ຟັງ ພະນາງມັດທີຊາບເລື່ອງແລ້ວກໍອະນຸໂມທະນາໃນປຸດຕະທານະບາລະມີຄັ້ງນີ້. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໑໙ ໜ້າ ໑: ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າຈານເພັງ ສາວແກ່ນ ຜົວເມຍ ແລະ ລູກຫລານຊູ່ຄົນ ບ້ານວັດໜອງ ມີສັດທາສ້າງລໍາ ມະຫາເວດສັນຕະຣະຊາດົກ ນີ້ໄວ້ໃນພະພຸດທະສາສະໜາ ເມຶ່ອວັນ ໓ ເດືອນ ໕ ອອກໃໝ່ ໒ ຄໍ່າ ພສ. ໒໕໐໒ ເພຶ່ອເປັນທີ່ລະລຶກ ຂໍໃຫ້ຜູ້ຂ້າໄດ້ດັ່ງຄວາມປາດຖະໜາທຸກປະການແດ່ກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ນິບພານັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ ໂຫຕຸ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ ທຸວັງ.

Matthī or Maddī the ninth episode of a total of 13 episodes of the Vessantara Jataka with 90 verses. The content tells when Princess Maddi went out for fruits there were unnatural happenings such as no much fruits as before; the climate was gloomy; on her return, she found her way barred by three fierce animals including a lion, a tiger and a leopard which were transformed by devas. When arrived at the hermitage she had found no children. She tried to look for them until the night but not found. When returned hermitage she was rebuked by Vessantara. She was deeply disappointed and fainted. After first aid by Vessantara, she regained consciousness and was told. When Princess Maddi knew she rejoiced with this giving of children as dāna pārami (the perfection of alms giving). Colophon: Folio 19 on the recto side: We are Chan (ex-monk) Pheng and Sao Kaen, a couple and all our children and grandchildren from Vat Nong village had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Maha Vetsantarasadok (Maha Vessantara Jataka), to support the Teachings of the Buddha on the third day of the week (Tuesday), the second day of the waxing moon of the fifth lunar month BE 2502 as for souvenir. May our wishes and desires come true. Nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ hotu niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (Nirvana is the greatest bliss, constantly and certainly).
