Putsaphayakòn means question and answer on the principles of the Dhamma. For example: Auestion: How many kinds of the Dhamma did the Buddha teach for enlightenment? Answer: There are three kinds including pariyatti, patipatti and pativedha. Pariyatti is the theory or statement, means the learning of the theory of Buddhadhamma as contained within the Pali canon of 84,000 catagories. Patipatti is the practice including Sila, Samadhi and panna means the right act. Pativedha is the result of the practice, means enlightenment, attained magga, phala and Nirvana. This is the results from right learning and right act. Colophon: Folio 63 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat (CS) 1287, a huang pao year, on the eighth day of the waning moon of the eleventh lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Prince Rasasamphanthavong Sisloemsak read the book entitled Putsa Panyakòn (Questions and Prophercy) which was composed by a Thai scholar and typed in Thai script, containing questions and answers on the way to heaven and Nirvanaa and how to practice clearly. He thought that this is useful for those who are faithful to practice and contemplate. He thus had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. On the other hand, with the good intention to have donated this Dhamma script, may it make all my wishes coming true with Nirvanaa as the ultimate goal.
